My First Giveaway

One of our favorite finds this year has been the Life of Fred Series. Very fun and engaging. We finished this Life of Fred Fractions book about six months ago and will be using the Decimals and Percents book by the end of this year. This book has been sitting on our shelf and I decided it needed a new home. Don't know why it has taken me this long to do a giveaway. Anyway if you would like a chance at winning this copy of Life of Fred Fractions this is what you need to do:
1. If you are not already a follower, please sign up to follow my blog and leave me a comment letting me know that you did for one entry.

2. You can also leave a comment about what your favorite math curriculum is and why for another chance at winning.

3. Also if you will blog about the giveaway on your blog you can receive another chance to win. Please leave me a comment letting me know.

At this time I can only ship to the U.S. and Canada. Sorry!!
This giveaway will be open until October 15th. Please leave your email address in your comment so I can reach you for shipping information.

We use Teaching Textbooks, due to the fact that the computer is much smarter than me! A friend of mine uses Life of Fred and raves about it.

Since I am already a follower...I must admit we loved Saxon for a long time until...the pre-algebra/Algebra stage.

I actually just switched my oldest son over to Life of Fred Beginning Algebra and he has worked through the first two lessons.

OUR FAVORITE IS LIFE OF FRED!!!! Hands Down.

My middle son is doing well in the Saxon 7/6 so I don't want to change him this year but will change him to the pre-algebra book for Life of Fred next year.

I would love to win this for my daughter who is working very hard on memorizing her times tables. Hopefully by next year we would be able to dive into this book for her.

Have a great day!

I have always wanted to try Life of Fred!!
We are using Teaching Textbooks Algebra and 6 at the moment and my kids love it! Math is not my strong subject, so it works out perfectly. With my youngest we are using Miquon Math, she's only grade 1 and loves math too.
I hope I win...and hopefully your giveaway is applicable to Canadian residents (crossing fingers!)...
Thanks!

So far, my favorite is Math-U-See. It works great for us. I have heard SO MANY great things about Life With Fred, that I have it on my list to try when we get there. I think I will at least use it as a supplement, if we don't switch altogether.

Congrats on doing a giveaway!

We are using America's Math Teacher and have really liked it so far. We just started on it this year. Up until now we have used Rod and Staff math.

Ooh, fun! I've wanted to look at Life of Fred. We're using Math Mammoth right now, and it's good, but I'm open to switching up next year. We haven't used a formal math curriculum before this year.

I'm following you now, don't know why I wasn't before! :)

We like Videotext, Math U See, AND Life of Fred. Videotext has great explanations. Math U See does, too, but the non-distracting pages are a definite preferred feature for my youngest. And Life of Fred...I love the unique approach to math.

Hello Diane~ I love this idea you have. I just read your comments over on my blog Learners at Home and you had me curious to come and see your new giveaway! :)
My favorite math program hmm, well I have two if that makes any sense at all our main program is Math On the Level. it is great for K-8 and not a workbook program. For a visual and auditory program that is both a lifesaver and great hit with my boys is Teaching Textbooks. ~ cross my fingers I get to win :)

I'm already a follower. : ) We love MUS! I often read on the MUS yahoo group that MUS and LoF can work well together, so I've been planning on looking into LoF.

I just followed today - thanks for stopping by and letting me know! I really want to try Life of Fred. We are switching from a spiral approach to a mastery approach, and I've heard really good things about LOF. :)

I am teaching Saxon Math right now at our homeschool co-op, and I like it just fine. I don't have any first hand knowledge of many other math curriculums because we used a pieced together method for our older son.
